Joseph Louis Sanchez 61, of Gilroy, passed away Saturday May 5th 2018 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born to the late Luis and Amelia Sanchez on Dec. 31, 1956 in Gilroy, California. He attended St Mary Catholic School and later graduated from Gilroy High.

He spent his childhood working with his father out in the fields and delivering crops for the family business. He loved truck driving and as an adult Joseph became a local owner operator of his  semi truck "28". With a great personality and a comedic side he sure could light up a room with just his smile, he made a lot of friends and will truly be missed by all.

Joseph is survived by three children: Joseph l. Sanchez Jr, of Gilroy; Mark J. Sanchez, of Gilroy; and Daughter Michelle R. Sanchez of Winton. He is also survived by 1 grand daughter Angelene Arzola from Los Banos and his brother Michael A. Sanchez. As well as many other family members

A vigil will be held 4 pm Sunday May 13th at Habing Family Funeral Home

And a funeral mass will be Monday May 14th at 10 am at St. Mary's Church.

Instead of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude children's research hospital.
