Jose "Joe" Mata was born May 30, 1924

In Michoacán Mexico to Julio and Herminia Mata.

Joe moved to the United States as small child and Graduated from Gilroy High School where he was top of his class. After high school Joe joined the US army and served his country in WWII. Joes dedication earned him a bronze star medal, Which he was very proud of.

For many year Joe worked hard along side his parents and brother but never forgot to give back to the community. Joe was a beloved member of the community and will be missed.
