Jose Ramiro Hernandez was born on May 26th, 1950 and lived 73 eventful and wonderful years before going to be with the Lord on August 16th, 2023.

He was born in the state of North Dakota before making his way with his family to the one and only Gilroy, California in 1959. Jose was a loving son of Theodore and Angelina Hernandez. In 1971 he married his high school sweetheart Stella Medina and together they built a life and
raised four children: Johnny, Jr, Roger (Liz), and AJ; before moving to Los Baños, California in 1999. He was a grandfather to nine grandchildren: Izack, Mikayla, Savannah, Kylee, Mya, Zoey, Avery, Kayleen and Little AJ. He is also survived by his doting sisters: Maria, Margaret, Susie, Ester,
Peggy, and Terry as well as his brothers Lupe and Frank. Along with many nieces and nephews and other family members. He was preceded by his brothers John, Ted, Lalo, and Beto.

After graduating from Gilroy High School in 1968 and a short stint at Simons Labs, Jose began his 42 year career at PG&E in 1973 where he retired as a Senior Meter Reader in 2015. Jose was an avid softball player in the Gilroy community where he played for over 50 years. He
was a devoted Christian, and was baptized in May of 2018. He enjoyed cheering for the New York Yankees and for the Green Bay Packers. Jose found great pleasure in throwing his annual Fun (F) eral Rock and Roll 50's and 60's party. He also enjoyed the time he got to fish with his
family and friends.

Jose will be tremendously missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through his wife Stella, his sons, and grandchildren as they cherish and hold his memory dear. A warm and heartfelt thank you to all for the constant prayers and support during this difficult time. God bless you all.
