Jose "Ruben" Hermosillo passed away suddenly at home at the age of 80 years old.

Jose was born in Merino, Colorado. Came to California in 1951. Married the love of his life on February 13, 1978.

Jose Ruben worked as a field worker for many years. Then he worked for the State of California Caltrans for 15 years. He has been retired since 2001.

He is survived by his wife Maria; sons Jose, Ruben and David; grandchildren Anyssa, Adriana, Ruben, Abigail and Mario; sister Angelina Gonzales, brothers Lubin Hermosillo and Jeronimo Cortez Hermosillo.

Jose Ruben liked to garden, fish and play poker. He liked to play music and the accordion as well as play jokes on people, but most of all he liked spending time with his family.
