JOSE JOAQUIN ALVES FERRO, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 in Merced, CA.

Husband of Ida E. Ferro of Newman, CA.  Son of Maria Alves Ferro Sousa of Hollister and the late Antonio Ferro.  Father of Brandy Juarez (George) of Gilroy, Ligia Ferro (Angel) of Los Banos and Antoinette Ferro Bernal (Juan) of Gustine. Grandfather of George Joseph Juarez, Phillip Emery Ferro Gaitan, Karlie Elizabeth Juarez, Isaiah Joaquin Bernal, Steven Anthony Juarez and Jeremiah Manuel Bernal. Brother of Manuel Ferro (Ann), Augustine Ferro, Mary Jo Ferro, Mary Lou Bartlett (Phillip), Ligia Clink (Robert), and Michael Ferro and the late Antonio Ferro.  Also survived by aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A native of Santa Cruz, Madiera, Portugal.

Enjoyed his family, fishing, barbecue's, going to the beach, dancing  and was always the life of the party.

Visitation Monday, March 27, 2017 beginning at 11:00 AM with Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Habing Family Funeral Home.  Graveside Services will follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Park, Morgan Hill at 2:30 PM.

Reception will follow.
