IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jose Corrales
Brion
January 12, 1959 – August 31, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Jose Brion announce his passing on Thursday, August 31 at the age of 64. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer.
Jun as his loved ones called him, came to the US in 1989 when he was 30 years old from Manila, Philippines. Receiving a B.A of Business Management at the Far Eastern University of the Philippines he hoped to bring what he knew in chase of the American dream.
As a great singer and dancer which he got from his father who was a well-known entertainer in the Philippines, he brought his talents to the Phlip Side in 1989. A band with his older brother and close friends. They played at numerous venues throughout the Bay Area for 20+ years. For those who knew Jun, his personality was unmatched. His jokes and laughter lit up the room and he was always the life of the party. His sense of style was always on point. Always dressed to impress from his hats all the way down to his shoes. Jun was a people person and the care and love he showed everyone he knew was felt, especially with his family.
His strength, love, kindness, humor, talent and his always smiling face will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him. A presence that cannot be forgotten or replaced.
He leaves behind his loving wife Catherine and son Jeremy, sister Mary Rose, brother Ferdie and nieces and nephews whose lives he made brighter.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 30 at Saint Catherine's Church of Morgan Hill, CA at 10:00 a.m. to be followed by a celebration of his life. A private burial will be held at a later date with only close family.
