IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jose Manuel
"Azul" Cuevas
December 6, 2001 – July 10, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Manuel Cuevas, who left this world far too soon on July 10, 2025, at the age of 23. A beloved father, son, brother, and friend.
Jose was a bright light in the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Raised in Gilroy, California, Jose was a thoughtful and intelligent young man with a love for learning and a natural gift for academics.
He was known for his determination, competitive spirit, and quiet strength.
Whether it was in the classroom or in his daily life, Jose always gave his best.
Jose was especially passionate about video games, proudly built his own custom PC—a project that showed both his talent and his love for what he did.
Gaming wasn't just a hobby for Jose, it was something he shared with his brothers and cousins, a way he connected and created lasting memories.
Jose had a deep passion for fitness and weightlifting. He loved going to the gym, challenging himself, and staying active. Working out became a part of his routine and a way for him to push his limits, both physically and mentally.
It was another space where his dedication and focus truly shined.
Family meant everything to Jose. He was the proud father of Brianna Cuevas, who brought joy and purpose to his life. He was also a loving son to Patricia Perez Cuevas, and a cherished brother to Jamie, Juan, Cristian, Ulises, Fernando, and David.
As the fifth of seven brothers, Jose held a special place in the heart of a close-knit family that loved him deeply.
Jose's faith guided him throughout his life. A devoted Catholic, his life will be honored with a Viewing service on Friday, July 25th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy, California, followed by a Mass at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church & a burial at the Gavilan Hills Memorial park Cemetery in Gilroy .
Though his time here was short, Jose's memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the family he leaves behind.
His warmth, intelligence, and gentle heart will never be forgotten.
Jose. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
