Jorge, 94, of Gilroy, passed away on October 10, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Maria Montano, his sons and daughters-in-law; Wilfredo and Gabriela, Jorge Jr. and Teresa, Oscar Armando and Milagro Montano.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Born in El Salvador, Jorge migrated to San Francisco, in 1961, where he lived for 38 years. He was a bakery worker for Parisian and for Larraburu French Bakeries.  After he established himself, his wife, Maria, two sons, Wilfredo and Jorge Jr., joined him.  In 1973 his eldest son, Oscar Armando and his family joined them all. Eventually Jorge and Maria moved to San Jose where they lived for 19 years. He and Maria moved to Gilroy in 2018 to live with Wilfredo and Gabriela.

He loved to play soccer in his younger years and into adulthood. His passion for soccer continued throughout his life. He was known for his quick humor and desire to joke around.  All who knew him, shared in these jokes and laughter.  He will dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Habing Family Funeral Home.  A Rosary and Vigil Service will follow at 5:00 pm.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 1:30 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery,  1500 Mission Road, Colma, CA 94014
