John Hughes Kennedy, Jr. passed away October 19, 2019 in Portland, OR. He was the son of the late Hughes and Anna Kennedy, longtime Gilroy residents. He is survived by his 4 children, Elizabeth, Jill, Shawn and Julie; 5 grandchildren, Eva, Ruby, Ben, Lucy and Hank; brother of Ellen (Kennedy) Bozzo, Margaret (Kennedy) O'Donnell and Tim Kennedy.

John attended St. Mary School and Gilroy High School before joining the Navy. After his discharge he grew strawberries for Driscoll Berries in Southern California and retired in Portland, OR to be near his family.
