Joseph Francis Soares, born in Gilroy, passed away August 18, 2012. He is survived by his wife Judy Soares of Coarsegold, father of Tim (Cheryl) and Ed Soares both originally from Gilroy, grandfather of Will Soares and brother of John, Jr. (DeDe) Soares, Mary (Arthur) Bettencourt, Rosie (Tony) Bettencourt, and Frankie (Robin) Soares, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Soares and brother John Jr.

Joe served in the United States Army with service in Korea.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 PM Friday, August 24 with a Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2012 both at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

Donations may be made in Joe's name to San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery Gift Entry Fund or East Madera County SPCA.
