Obituary

Joe will be remembered by his jokes and sense of humor; his love for Beatles music; Hey Jude, Don't Let Me Down, Let It Be and Yesterday. He loved playing the piano and was self-taught. His willingness to help others when they needed help, whether it be gardening, concrete work, plumbing, etc.

Joe Alonzo, known as Tutie, was born to Petra and Jesus Alonzo, one of 11 children, Estella, Clara, Robert, Jess, Raul, twins Margaret and Nellie, Paul, Rudy and Charlie Alonzo.

He will be forever grateful for his sister Nellie who put up with him and cousin Carmen Wheeler who took care of him his last 2 years during his illness and Janelle who walked him through the word of God during his illness explaining the bible and life after death. It gave him hope and peace to trust in God and as 2 Corinthians 5:8 reads; We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Tutie, rest in peace. Loved by family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on March 28, 2019 at St. Mary's Church at 12 noon along with his brother Jess. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery where both brothers will be laid to rest, followed by prayer by his brother Paul. Celebration of Life for both brothers continues at the Vets Hall in Gilroy CA.
