IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy David
Castaneda
October 26, 1958 – December 25, 2020
Jimmy was born and raised in Gilroy, Ca. Where he started his first job and continued to
establish his career at Gilroy Foods for the last 42 years. He loved to be an early worm and up
and at em'
Drinking his morning coffee and pulling pranks on his co workers.. telling them to bring
something for the non existing pot lucks. Guess you can say he was eating good those days.
In 1977 he met Teresa in Morgan Hill, where he would convince his cousin Jimmy who was
more like a brother to him, to wash his Montecarlo so it was clean and fresh on his way to pick
her up from high school.
Jimmy and Teresa moved out to Frazier Lake Ranch where they made a life of their own and
they raised 3 children out on the ranch over the last 44 years.
Serina, Jimmy Jr. and Joseph Castaneda.
Having the chance to watch their 6 grandchildren grow up on the same ranch their kids did.
Alexis, Mikayla, Jimmy lll, April, Nicholas, and Emma J.
Jimmy was a hardworking, selfless, loving person with a heart of gold. He was down to earth
and humble. A jokester and very sarcastic. Sometimes you couldn't tell when he was being
serious.
Jimmy was always keeping himself busy. He enjoyed being out doors
barbequing, fishing, or being out in his garden tending to numerous fruit
trees and plants. He enjoyed his time outside on his front porch with a
fresh cold beer in his hand rain or shine. He loved to have company over
for his Sunday bbqs to watch the cowboys play. Although there was
nothing he loved more than his casino trips and taking long drives with
his wife.
If you had a nickname from him, just know you had a special place in his heart. Jimmy and his
sense of humor will be missed dearly.
Jimmy is now rejoined with his mother Margarita and his eldest brother
Robert (Bobby)..
Jimmy will be missed by his father Manuel, siblings, Christina, Nellie,
Yolanda (Lala) and Ricky Castaneda
