Our hearts are heavy as we share the loss of our beloved Jim Teague. After a hard-fought battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully on, May 24th, 2026. Jim was diagnosed with cancer in late 2023 and from there he fought as hard as he could to be here for his family.
Born March 5, 1966 in San Jose, Jim Teague son of Myra Murphy and James Teague, sibling to Wendy Teague, Mark Rapazzini and Todd Rapazzini.
Jim spent his childhood and teenage years hanging out with friends, working in his dad’s car dealership, tossing pizza dough at The Willows in Willow Glen, fishing, and exploring nature.
Jim joined UA Local 393 in 2004 but started his life long career as a plumber before that. Jim met Denise in 1990 whom would become the love of his life, his wife, and his life long partner. They married in 1994 and would later bring three beautiful daughters into the world. They started their family in Willow Glen but found their forever home in Gilroy in 2002 where they would raise their daughters and where Jim would spend the rest of his life.
Jim was known for his “one liner” humor, strong work ethic, intelligence, and just being an honest person, he was truly one of a kind. He loved hanging out in his backyard with spending time with family and friends for a swim in the pool and a bbq. You could always find him listening to loud music and cold beer in his hand. Jim especially enjoyed cooking his famous chile verde (there is a video on YouTube) and chili beans, traveling, spending time outside, especially gardening or driving his Chevelle, he also loved going to concerts. Jim loved golfing, fast loud cars and dreamed of driving one on a track. He was a lifelong A’s and San Francisco 49er fan, and always had people over to watch the games.
Jim was taken from us too soon. His love, strength, and dedication touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered. These past couple of years were nothing short of an uphill battle and he approached it with everything he had in him with the power to fight.
Jim was a loving son, brother, uncle,
great-uncle, brother to many union members, brother-in-law, son-in-law, cousin, godfather, best friend and most of all the best husband and soulmate to his wife, Denise, and amazing dad to daughters Danielle, Nicole, and Claudia and to his beloved dogs Leo and Ruby.
Please join us for his services on June 19th at 2pm. We would love for you to share memories you may have about Jim at the service.
