"Don Chuy", "Apa" passed away peacefully on Friday March 6, 2020 at the age of 62. Jesus was born in La Yesca, Nayarit, Mexico and immigrated to the United States at the age of 18.

He married his wife, Carmelina Lara in March of 1979 at St. Catherine's Parish in Morgan Hill.

He was a long time resident of Morgan Hill, then moved to Ridgecrest area were his dream of owning a Ranch came true. He loved the farm life. He cared for many farm animals. Jesus will always be remembered for his devotion to his family. Such a humble hardworking man. He was the type of person to always lend a helping hand and instantly made friends everywhere he went.

His smile, his laughter, his story telling and his kind heart will remain in our hearts. He was a GREAT man in every sense- a good father, husband, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Carmelina, his five children, Rosaura, Irene, Adrian, Deise and Fabian, his pride and joy which were his twelve grandchildren Ernesto, Brianna, Makayla, Matteo, Nathan, Adrián Jesus, Levi, Andres, Abraham, Andrea, Mia and Javier.

A visitation will begin 1:00 pm, Sunday, March 15 with a Vigil service at 5:00pm at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Monday, March 16 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gilroy. Entombment follows at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
