Jesse John Ruiz, age 70, passed away on December 5, 2023. Jesse was born on August 11, 1953, at the old Wheeler Hospital in Gilroy, CA.

Jesse lived the majority of his life in Gilroy and always considered it home. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Gilroy High School in 1971. He worked as an independent truck driver, hauling commercial office equipment throughout the Bay Area for over 25 years.

Jesse was an avid fisherman and was always ready to play a round of golf. Whether they were winning or losing, he was a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.

Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Jess Ruiz and mother, Elisa Ruiz.  He is survived by his twin children, son David Ruiz and daughter Amanda Ruiz, Brothers: Robert (Julie)Ruiz, and Michael (Janean) Ruiz, one grandson and five nieces and nephews. We love you big brother, you'll be in our hearts (especially when we are enjoying a good meal) forever.

A memorial service will be held on December 18, 2023, 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church (small chapel) in Gilroy, followed by burial services at St. Mary's Cemetery.
