January 22, 1963 – January 4, 2023
On Wednesday January 4 th 2023, Jerry, affectionately known as Gordo, passed away at the age of 59. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and uncle.
He was the eldest son of Delores and Jerry. He is survived by his wife Felecia, his daughter Kendall, his sister Annie & brother-in-law Frank, his brother Michael, his nephews Joshua & Jorden, his niece Amara and great nieces Emma Olivia and Novalee Anne.
Jerry was born and raised in Gilroy, he graduated from Gilroy high in 1981. In High School he loved to play football and was part of the team that went 10-0 and won the CCS championship title. After High School, he worked at Nob Hill in the construction division helping to build Tree Haven, now known as Gilroy Gardens, and the Nob Hill on First Street. He eventually got a job working at Bottomley Distributors as a delivery truck driver.
Jerry enjoyed Jujitsu and Taekwondo, because it helped him relieve stress. He was passionate about the Raiders, as evident by the Raider Shield tattoo he had on his leg. He also enjoyed being a DJ known as Looney Tunes. He collected vinyl records and had an impressive collection. He loved all things Star Wars and owned many collectable Star Wars figurines.
Jerry expressed himself through the t-shirts he wore. He loved to wear Big Dog t-shirts, Raider t-shirts, and Darth Vader t-shirts. One of his favorites was "Soy Tu Padre, Mijo".
Jerry loved BBQ, especially his dad Ribs. He really loved his mom's Chili Verde, Wing Stop wings, milk, and his wife Felecia's snickerdoodle cookies.
His absence leaves an emptiness in our family but the memories of him will bring comfort to us. His unique sense of humor will be remembered with fondness. We love you Gordo. Rest in Peace.
