Jerry L. Leonard passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022, while at home surrounded by family. The oldest child of Vernon and Gladys Leonard, Jerry was born on July 1, 1943 in Bristow OK, and then moved to Gilroy, CA at 9 months old.  He remained in Gilroy for the next 78 years. He attended Rucker School and Gilroy High (Class of 1961), where he met his sweetheart, Susan Lawrence.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Susan, daughter Shannon Flackman (Mark Garcia), son Jonathon Leonard (Cathie), his sister Judy Zander (Don), 7 grandchildren (Debi, Matthew, Tiffany, Morgan, Lindsey, Lacey and Hunter), and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, younger brothers (Claude and Bob), and his cat Spot.

He accomplished his "3 goals for when he grew up; a wife, 2 kids and a house."  He is infamously known around town by his ballcaps with the word "BOSS". When he wasn't at work, he'd be GONE FISHING.
