Jennifer ("JLK") was killed by a cancerous brain tumor (DIPG) only three and a half months after being diagnosed on Oct. 28 – her sixth birthday.

She is survived by her loving parents, Tony and Elizabeth (Libby) Kranz, grandparents Bill and Mary Scharrenberg and Heidi Newhouse, twelve aunts and uncles and seventeen cousins. Jennifer will be particularly missed by her brothers, Jonathan (4) and Nicholas (2) and baby sister, Charlotte.

A Celebration of Jennifer's Life will be held on Friday, Feb. 21 at Valley Christian High School, 100 Skyway Dr., San Jose at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome – including children. Jennifer loves eclectic fashion, so dress in whatever feels comfortable – pajamas and ball gowns are equally appropriate. A reception will follow immediately at the school.

DIPG has no treatment….no cure….and research is made more difficult by the scarcity of tissue to study.
