James Masami Yamane passed away on May 11, 2016 surrounded by his family in San Jose, California. He was preceded in death by his brother Bennie Yamane and nephew Christopher Yamane. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Tadako Yamane; daughters Ellen (Kedar) Roy and Janet Yamane; sisters Daisy Tsujimoto, Grace (Pat) Limones and Nancy Yamane; and sister-in-law Carol Yamane. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jim requested that there be no funeral service.
