James "Jim" Rench departed this world to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on October 25, 2014 in Morgan Hill, CA at the age of 75. The love of his family and his firm belief in God were his passion and strength throughout his life.

Jim is survived by his wife, Susan Rench and stepchildren, Ari and Sati Dalessandro and Govinda Shields, her children Alexis and MJ Shields, who called him "Grandpa Jim". He is also survived by his siblings, Dick and Bob Rench, nephews Mathew and Christopher Rench, nieces Laura and Amy Rench, and great-nephew Noah Rench, Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lucille Rench.

Born on January 30, 1939 in San Francisco, CA, Jim attended Roosevelt High in Seattle and went on to graduate from Stanford University in 1961 with a BA in political science. Throughout his career, Jim was both a salesman and an owner of several businesses. Jim enjoyed Bible study, computers, cars, travel, conversation over coffee, and a good laugh.

Celebrate Jim's life with us at his memorial service to be held at Morgan Hill Bible Church, 15055 Monterey St, Morgan Hill, CA 95037 on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 3:30pm.
