Jack Hugh Peters, 84 of Gilroy passed away at his home on Monday, October 5, 2015. Husband of Carol Peters of Gilroy. Father of Melinda Dowling (Jim) of Buckeye, AZ, John Peters (Donna) of Gilroy, Jackie Murphy (Bernie) of Morgan Hill and Nancy Marshall Bostock (Guy) of Gilroy. Step-father of James Berta (Thuy) of Burlingame, CA and Nicole Berta Sorenson of Redondo Beach, CA.

Brother of the late Lucille Quesada. Grandfather of Keysin Cornett of New York, Austin and Shannon Murphy of Morgan Hill, Kelli Marshall of Los Gatos, Alex and Grayson both of Gilroy, Alycia Bostock of Sacramento, Anthony Bostock of Chico, Luke Berta of Burlingame, Dylan and Elizabeth Sorenson of Redondo Beach. A native of Alameda, CA.

Moved to Gilroy in Sept. of 1957. Owned and operated the Gilroy Strand and Hecker Pass Drive-in for many years. Member of St. Mary's Church and Gilroy Elks. Former member of the Variety Club International. Long time member of the Weight Lifters Assoc. of America, Member of Boys Town, USA, Show West Theater Owners Assoc, Avid Oakland Raider Fan. World Champion Bench Press Weight Lifter.

Vigil Sunday, October 11, 2015 – 6:30 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

Funeral Mass Monday, October 12, 2015 – 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church, Gilroy.

Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Gilroy.

Reception will follow.
