Alice "Iona" Patton, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at her Gilroy residence, last Thursday morning. She was the center of her family and will be missed by all who were touched by her sweet smile and gentle spirit.

Iona is survived by her daughters; Michele Rundle, Dia (Michael) Hoshida, and Loretta (David) Weinkam; grandchildren Stephen (Emily) Hoshida, Thomas (Carissa) Hoshida, Alan and William Hoshida, Claire Iona (Jose) Contreras-Rundle, and Owen Rundle; great-grandchildren Caitlyn and Anthony Hoshida, Cortney and Taylor Hoshida, and Nora Iona Contreras-Rundle, plus many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray D. Patton.

A memorial service will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St. Gilroy, Thursday, October 17, at 6:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
