Imelda "Jessie" Lugo passed away on June 4, 2016 after a courageous and fast battle with stage four pancreatic cancer.

She was born in San Jose, CA on November 4, 1962 as the second child of Manuel and Frances Lugo. Jessie is survived by her daughter Ashley Schofield, and brother Joseph Lugo, along with many other close family and friends. Before moving back to the Bay Area a few years ago to help take care of her mother, she worked as a paralegal with the state of Oregon and was a dedicated court appointed special advocate for Washington County in Oregon. Recently she had completed a culinary certificate program where she had hoped to eventually up her own bakery someday.

Some of her favorite things in life included yoga, walking and napping on the beach, writing, cooking, spending time with her grandson, and helping others.

Jessie's life will be celebrated with an interment ceremony at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Cypress Mausoleum, Gilroy on Monday, August 1 at 1:30 PM, to all are welcome to attend.
