Ida was born to Louis and Annetta Scolari in Gilroy, California on November 1st, 1934. She passed away in Gilroy on February 11, 2023 in a room full of loved ones and family. She was 87 years old. Ida grew up in Gilroy, graduating from Gilroy High School in 1952, and later received her Associates Degree from Hartnell College. She married Lester Zanetta in 1957, and moved to Soledad, California, where they raised their three children, Lisa, Christopher, and Desiree. Ida worked as an elementary school Librarian, and later worked at the town library. She was involved in the PTA, taught 4-H cooking classes, and was active in the Swiss American Club. Ida taught Catechism at her local parish, and was always devoted to her faith. She was an excellent cook, and a very talented seamstress, making halloween costumes and quilts for her grandchildren. Ida and Lester built a house in Mariposa, California and moved in 2003. Ida served on the Lady's Guild at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and volunteered at the nearby Senior Center and Manna House Food Distribution Center. Ida and Lester shared 53 years of marriage before he passed away in 2010. They loved to dance together; they took any opportunity to stand up and slow dance at events and in many living rooms. In 2016, Ida moved back to the Gilroy area where she spent her remaining years living at Merrill-Gardens. She passed away peacefully with family by her side.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lester, her parents Louis and Annetta, sisters Mary and Hazel, brother Louis, and nephew David.
