Hope Munoz, born in Azusa, California, to Jose and Josephine Quintana, passed away on November 18, 2025, in Hollister, California.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phil Munoz, and siblings Joe Quintana Sr., Julia Sundwell, Stella Alanzo, and John Quintana.
Hope is survived by her siblings Leo Quintana, Irene Ynzunza, Evelyn Murphy, David Quintana, and Henry Quintana. She leaves behind her children Ahnah Byrne, Louis Lopez, Liz Berman, Luther Lopez, Craig Lopez Sr., and Adam Lopez.
Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Hope worked for the Gilroy Unified School District for 35 years, where she touched the lives of countless students with her kindness and dedication. She volunteered for the Gilroy Garlic Festival for many years and was an active member of St. Mary’s Church. Her generosity extended to the community, especially during the holidays, through her involvement in Christmas donation drives.
Hope passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, with her daughter Ahnah and granddaughter Desiree Henriques by her side. Their care and comfort helped the family prepare to say their goodbyes with peace and gratitude.
She lived well, laughed often, and loved deeply. Hope will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
