Herlinda L. Vasquez passed away on April 1st surrounded by the care, comfort, and love of her family and friends. The loving mother of Ralph (Lupe), Fred (Tera), and Edward (Charlotte), Herlinda was a devout Catholic who prayed daily for the health and well-being for her loved ones.

Born December 30, 1934, to Josefa and Trinidad Landin in Del Rio, Texas, Herlinda moved to Gilroy in 1961 with her husband Juan Vasquez in search of their dreams and to raise a family. The two remained married for nearly 48 years before Juan died in 2003. Herlinda was also preceded in death by her loving sister Elvira and her "Tia" Celia.

Celebrate Herlinda's life on Friday, April 7th at 7:00 pm at Habing Family Funeral Home along with a Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 8th at 10:00 am at St Mary's Catholic Church and a burial service to follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
