Obituary

Henry Acedo, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on December 21st, 2024 surrounded by his loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Henry was the devoted husband of Margaret, proud father to his two sons, Michael and Eric, and cherished brother of Rosemary Acedo Carranza. He was also the beloved uncle to Jason Nater, Tristan Nater, Joey Carranza, Brian Carranza, Jina Carranza, Linda Carranza Blundo, Arturo Carranza, and Christopher Gomez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Carmen Saucedo, and sister Joanne Acedo Gomez.

Henry was a long time resident of Morgan Hill, CA, attending all local schools, including Live Oak High School, Gavilan College, and later attended Idaho State University. He spent upwards of four decades working in the technology industry, where he found passion in his work, but more notably, a fond camaraderie and friendship with many of his dear colleagues. Henry retired from Texas Instruments (formerly National Semiconductor) in 2020.

Henry had a passion for bringing people together. He was a wonderful home cook, and found immense joy in preparing meals for others. Henry used food as a way to connect, nurture, and show his love. Every dish he created was a reflection of his care and creativity, and his table was always a place of warmth and togetherness.

A lover of life's simplest joys, Henry was fond of travel, history, music, puzzles, and a good game of cards with his family. He possessed a rare gift for storytelling, which drew people in with his wit, humor, and charm. Those who knew him will forever remember his warm smile and ability to find joy in everyday moments.

Humble and understated, Henry's kindness and generosity knew no bounds. He gave of himself selflessly, quietly touching the lives of many in ways he would never boast about. To his family, he was a steady anchor, a source of unconditional love, and a teacher of the values that truly matter.

Henry will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, but his spirit lives on in the laughter, love, and memories he leaves behind. He will be eternally loved and remembered by Margaret, Michael, Eric, Rosemary, and all whose lives he enriched.

In honor of Henry's memory, his family encourages acts of kindness and generosity in his name—just as he would have done. A private celebration of his life will be held with close family and friends.

Rest in peace, Henry. Your warm love and light will shine on forever in our hearts. Until we meet again.
