Helen Rose Sgheiza Bonino, born September 3, 1909, in Salinas, California.
She moved to Gilroy in 1917. Helen married Tony Bonino on august 6, 1936 and moved to San Martin at that time. She was the mother of 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Helen passed peacefully on March 29, 2010, surrounded by her family in Gilroy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tony and her two brothers Albert and Art Sgheiza.
She is survived by her children Donald (Lynne) Bonino, Louis (Judy) Bonino and Elaine Bonino. She was affectionately known as "Noni" to her Grandchildren Randy (Lori) Bonino, Donna (Darren) Augustin, Russell (Raquel) Bonino and Brent Bonino and her Great-grandchildren Anthony, Jeremy and Lucia Bonino, Cameron and Gavan Augustin, and Jennifer, Nicole and Thomas Bonino. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mamie Sgheiza, her nieces and nephew Anita Sciutto, Janet Hebert and Roger Costa.
Visitation will be Monday, April 5th, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the Vigil beginning at 6:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St., Gilroy. Funeral will be Tuesday, April 6th, beginning at Habing Family Funeral Home at 9:15 A.M. thence going to St. Mary's Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 A.M. followed by entombment at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to your favorite charity would be preferred.
