Guadalupe "Lupe" Castaneda of Gilroy passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2024 in Stockton, California. She was 88 years old.

Lupe is the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by sons Frank Castaneda Jr. (Esther), Sam Castaneda, Eddie Castaneda, and daughter Esther Castaneda. She had 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Lupe was preceded in death by her husband Frank Castaneda Sr., daughter Terry Gonzales and son Javier Castaneda.

Lupe worked at Gilroy Unified School District for many years. She loved the casinos, traveling with her husband, and spending time with family. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

There will be a viewing at St. Mary Church on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 9AM, followed by a 10AM mass. The burial will follow the mass at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
