Gregory Dean Brown, born on July 22, 1952, passed away on August 27, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Greg was a long-time resident of Santa Clara County and was the founder of The G.B. Group General Contractors of Gilroy. He later opened offices in Las Vegas, NV, Sacramento, Pleasanton, and Oxnard. His experience came from working for 20 years at McDevitt & Street Builders, where he worked nationally, building high-rise hotels. He met his wife in San Diego, California, while building the Embassy Suites Hotel in La Jolla. Together they built and developed G.B. Group into an industry icon, serving thousands of homeowner associations, and later succeeded by their sons who are still successfully running it today. Greg is survived by his wife, Regan Brown, sons Ryan Brown, Russell Brown, and Jesse Brown, and his three adopted children, Naval Commander & Dr. Scott Lord his wife Jill Lord and 3 sons, Sean, Eric, and Ethan; Genesis Burns, and Jordan Burns; his sister Kathy Sutton and brother-in-law Steven Sutton. He was preceded in death by parents Russell and Marlene Brown, brother Keith Brown.

Services will be held at New Hope Community Church, 8886 Muraoka Drive, Gilroy, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A reception for family and friends will follow at Cordevalle Country Club, 1 Club Drive, San Martin.
