Obituary
Gi Gi passed away on October 3rd, 2013 in Gilroy.
She was born in Victoria, B.C. on August 2nd, 1921 to John and Nellie Marmo. She grew up in Watsonville, California. She married Robert Greene on April 22, 1941. He passed away tragically in 1956.
She is survived by her daughter Roberta Bertero and her son Michael (Carolyn) Greene. Her five Grandchildren, Gina D'Amelio, Elizabeth (Mark) Kornegay, Christian (Monica) Greene, Andrea (Mark) Bertero, and Katie (Derek) Jacobi. Four Great Grandchildren, Ava and Julianna Kornegay, Nathaniel Greene and Tiffany Bertero. Her devoted dog Leo. Her sister, Adrienne (Edward) Fagalde, brother in law Frank Genoni and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gi Gi moved to Gilroy in 1965 and enjoyed many happy years here with her dear friends. Her favorite things to do were to play bridge, write poetry, attend Saint Anne's Guild, Tea and Spirits, Women in Touch, Theatre Angels, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Silver Thimble Sewing Club, and many other socials, gatherings and clubs. She cherished her time visiting with her dear friends Francis, Rene and Marji.
She is greatly missed and will always be remembered for her glamour, happy smile, gentle spirit, and love of her family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at 2 O'clock at her family home.
