Gilbert Pete Vasquez Jr., died on October 1, 2014 peacefully after a 6 year battle with a rare tissue disease. Gilbert was born on July 10, 1973 and was raised in Gilroy. He is survived by his parents Gilbert Vasquez Sr. and Blanca Rangel, Wife Merla Rios-Vasquez, Sister Valerie De La Torre, Presilla Zamora, Debra M. Vasquez, Brother Leon Pete Vasquez and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Gilbert was a secretive big hearted loving soul, and in many eyes invincible. Gilbert loved to go for long bike rides and cruise around town with loud music. God has him in his arms, and we have him in our hearts. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 1:30 PM, at Habing Family Funeral Home.
