George A. Wolfe

George Anthony Wolfe was born in Martinez, California to Hazel Catherin Garcia on January 6, 1932 at 9:00 pm.

George had 3 siblings, Lola Ann, Frances Jean and John.

He graduated from Sherwood High School in Sherwood, Oregon after 4 years, 1946-1950. He played on the football team all 4 years.

George received a football scholarship to attend Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

He began his first year at Oregon Tech in 1950. On January 16, 1951 George joined the United States Marine Corps and became a card carrying, lifetime member of the Enlisted Club.

In the spring of 1951, George went to boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California.

He underwent rigorous physical fitness, weapons training, drill, combat skills, and learned Marine Corps history and traditions over 13 weeks.

After graduating boot camp and taking leave, George went to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Fallbrook, California for further infantry training.

After training, he was deployed to Korea where he served 2 years in the Korean Conflict.

George reenlisted on April 4, 1953 for another 2 year tour of duty. He was honorably discharged on April 3, 1955.

George met his wife, Geraldine Irene Roberts in Los Gatos, California in 1952 while on leave.

They were married on November 3rd, 1956 in Los Gatos, California.

George and Geri had 5 children; Dawn Marie, Darcy Ann, Darlis Carol, Darren Edward and Dean Andrew.

In 1964, George bought their first home in San Jose, California. During this time, he worked as a Truck Driver for Neal Moving & Storage

In 1981, George and Geri purchased a Bar and Restaurant in Gridley, California. They owned and ran this business for 25 years until they sold and moved back to San Jose in 2006.

Survived by the love of his life, Geraldine Wolfe, his daughters Dawn (Mark) Martin and their children Tawnya (Jason) Kuzia and Travis (Alisa) Martin, Darcy Wolfe and her children Gino (Charity) Green and Thomas (Mikki) Green, Darlis Callaway and her children Ashley (Matthew) Lopez and Michele (Manuel) Hernandez, and his sons Darren (Debbie Noveshen) Wolfe and their children George and Jenny Wolfe, Dean (Melissa) Wolfe and his son Victor (Jen) Wolfe, stepson Chad (Erica) Krueger, daughters Danielle (Raymond) Carlos, and Monet Wolfe. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his beloved father Wylie Ernest Wolfe, granddaughter Kristen Marie Martin, grandson Daniel Kyle Green and son-in-law Nick Marr Callaway.

Services will be held at St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 17400 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 12:00 pm.
