George (GB) Smith passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023 at the age of 88.  He was a proud Air Force Veteran and a retired truck driver. He loved all things cars, cats, planes, trains and old western movies. George found much joy as a beloved docent at Gilroy Gardens for the past 20 years where he used his gardening, weeding and pond cleaning skills to keep the park beautiful. He was very proud of his Gilroy Gardens work crew.

He was loved and cherished by many friends and family who will miss him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on October 28th at Mount Madonna park. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join in remembering the adventurous life of George. Please reach out to his family for further details.
