Genessa Ann Greco was surrounded by her family as she entered God's kingdom on the morning of June 6, 2024. She was 47 years old.

Genessa was born on October 30, 1976 at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA. She attended St. Mary Catholic School in Gilroy and Notre Dame Catholic High School in Salinas before obtaining her credential as a Registered Nurse. As a member of Valley Medical Center's Acute Psychiatric group for more than 20 years, Genessa's deep sense of compassion and sincere concern for her patients guided a career that touched the lives of countless of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Genessa embodied joy and love. Her spirit was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will inspire us forever. She is survived by her daughter Venessa, mother Michaela, grandmother Peggy, brother Mick, sister-in-law Marisol, and nephews Max and Leo.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary Church in Gilroy on Monday, June 17 at 10am. Attendees are invited to wear pink, Genessa's favorite color.
