Gavin passed away peacefully at the age of 79. He was born in Coatbridge, Scotland on 11/28/39 to Gavin King, Sr., and Euphemia King.  He was a devoted husband and is survived by his wife, Marlene of 37 years.  Gavin is preceded in death by his parents Gavin King Sr., and Euphemia King, son Gary and brother-in-law Billy.  Gavin is survived by his son, Gavin "Guy", daughter Emily, step-children, Jeannette (AJ) Shari (Ray) and James, his sister Mary, Marion (Christine) and James (Rena), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Gavin was a hardworking commercial journeyman painter for 63 years, and a resident of San Jose, CA for 20 years before moving to San Juan Bautista, CA for the last 19 years.  Gavin was a fun loving man who enjoyed travelling, spending time with family, loved music, old movies, reading, history, gardening, watching soccer and tennis, and a good pint of beer with family and friends. Gavin will be dearly missed.
