IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gail Ann
Dettman
November 20, 1949 – October 1, 2024
In loving memory of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend, Gail Ann Dettman who has left us to be with the Lord.
She was born in Bethesda, Maryland to her parents Robert and Janette Dettman who met in the Navy.
Though Gail battled with Multiple Sclerosis most of her adult life, she did not allow her health challenges to prevent her from personal and professional accomplishments. She pursued a college education, graduating with honors, and began the career of her dreams as an X-ray Technician at Valley Medical Center.
Gail really enjoyed the company of her family and friends, bowling, golfing, sewing, many sports and having a good laugh. She was incredibly intelligent, hard working, strong, encouraging, resilient, classy, independent and funny. She always stood up for her family and friends who she loved and protected, a wonderful woman we look up to.
Before leaving us, she shared that the love of her children and grandchildren completed her heart. We will always be connected through that love in Spirit. She is greatly missed, her warm smile and laugh, and we will cherish the love she has left with us dearly.
We love you Mom, thank you for all you have done for us, we are eternally grateful. Survived by her three children, four grandchildren, brother, niece, nephew and friends.
Those who love and know her are respectfully invited to the memorial service at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy on Friday, October 25 at 10:00 am. Please attend to honor her memory with love and prayer. Following the service we will have a celebration of life at Gilroy United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
