Frank G. Castaneda Sr. of Gilroy passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015. Husband to Guadalupe Castaneda. He leaves behind sons Frank Castaneda Jr. (Esther),Sammy Castaneda (Stella),Javier Castaneda (Denise), Eddie Castaneda and Michael Castaneda Daughters Esther Castaneda and Terry Gonzales(Bob) as well as 12 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Brother of Tom (Adela) Garcia of Newark, CA, Manuel Castaneda of Atascosa, TX, Pete (Frances) Castaneda of Morgan Hill, Jim (Mary Lou) Castaneda of Los Banos, Marcos Castaneda of Los Banos, Margaret (Robert) Lucio of Los Banos, Eleanor (Robert) Alonzo, of Royal Oaks, CA, Victor (Ana) Castaneda of Merced, Raul (Peggy) Castaneda of Los Banos and Ernest Castaneda of Los Banos. Also survived by 38 Nieces and Nephews, 50 Great Nieces and Nephews and 13 Great-Great Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Victoriano and Cruz Castaned! a, Roger Castaneda, Stella Castaneda and Nephew Andrew Garcia. Frank loved gardening, fishing, family barbecues and his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Services are Wednesday April 29, 2015 Visitation hours 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Vigil held at 7:00 pm at Habing Funeral Home 129 Fourth St. Gilroy. On Thursday April 30th, 2015 Mass at 10:00 am St. Mary's Church in Gilroy burial to follow at St. Mary's cemetery.
