Obituary

Francisco died peacefully at the age of 97, in his home of 54 years in Gilroy, California surrounded by his children, son-in-law and granddaughter.

He was born in Pesqueria, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Francisco and Trinidad (Torres) Saucedo. A Veteran of the United States Army, he served during World War II, where he earned an American Theater Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Medal for his service.  He was a proud Veteran.

He was a devoted husband and loving father.  Surviving are his children Frank R. Saucedo and Susie (Sammie) O'Neal; grandchildren Laura, Jacqueline, Nathaniel, Aysha, Elijah and Emily; great-grandchildren Angelina, Rosalia and Antonio; his sister Elida Salazar; many nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Belen who passed away just over a year ago, March 2016; sons Joseph and Jaime; his parents; siblings Teresa Gonzales, Catalina Trevino, Sophia Cardenas, Guadalupe and Abelardo Saucedo.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Vigil at 6:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church, Gilroy.    Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Gilroy.
