Francisco Gonzales was born on December 12, 1936 in Donato Guerra, Durango. He was born to Francisco Gonzales and Agustina Velasquez. Francisco lost his battle to lung cancer and gained his angel wings on March 27, 2024.

Francisco was a migrant worker, who traveled from Mexico to the United States through the Bracero Program. He lived and worked in Knippa, Texas where he met his wife, (+) Juanita Puentes of Sabinal, Texas. Francisco became a stepfather to Juanita's 7 children: Yolanda P. Muniz, Elva P. Aviles, Sylvia P. Salinas, (+) Juan Jose Puentes, RosaLinda Puentes (+) Pablo Puentes and Roberto Puentes. Francisco and Juanita added 6 children to the family: (+) Jesse Gonzales, Frances G. Haro, (+) Gilberto Gonzales, Sandra Gonzales, Jerry Gonzales and Omar Gonzales.

In 2002, Francisco relocated from Mexico to Gilroy, California, which would be his home for the last 22 years of his life.

Francisco is survived by his sister, Josefa Gonzales, stepchildren, children, step grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
