Frances Patricia (Ingram) Sampson was born March 13, 1923 in Vancouver, BC Canada to John Stanley Ingram and Frances Maud (Bowser) Ingram.

She passed peacefully in her home in Gilroy, California on December 3, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Frances married Walden L. Sampson in Vancouver September 15th, 1944 following the end of the war. After living a short time in Connecticut, they moved to Portland, Oregon and then, when Walden was transferred by the American Red Cross to California, they moved and raised their family in Carmel.

Frances was involved with the Episcopal Church on the altar guild and was a representative to the Diocesan Episcopal Church Woman at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. During the Viet Nam war, she was involved in "Another Mother for Peace".
Her favorite hobbies were bridge and painting, which she continued most of her life. During the summer, there was not a day that she didn't swim. She always said, "Water is where my spirit is."
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years; brother, John (Jack) William Bowser Ingram; her son, Stephen Jerome Sampson, granddaughter, Shauna Sampson and son-in- law, Thomas A. Cadile.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Diane L. Sampson of Bowser, British Columbia, Dale P. Cadile of Gilroy and John W. Sampson of Aptos; grandchildren, Robert J. Cornejo, Gino R. Cadile, Jonathan D. Moscovich and Brea R. Essex; great-grandchildren, Lacey Cadile, Melina and Evan Cornejo, Sarah and Julia Moscovich, and Zachary and Logan Essex; and, great-great grandchild, Lakai Thomas Cadile-Ayala.

Her messages to her children, "There are no regrets. I am proud of all of them and I love them dearly. I thank them for all the joy they have given me."
To her friends, "who were my living angels and who offered me care and laughter along the way, I thank you. I couldn't have done it without you."

A Memorial service will be held at Stephen's Episcopal Church on Wayland Lane in Gilroy, CA on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:30 pm, followed by a celebration of her life reception at her home at 8426 Doris Court, Gilroy, CA .
