Obituary

Evelyn Agnes White (RN) passed on Thanksgiving Day, 2013 for a better front row seat to be with her deceased husband Gordon Peter in the embrace of our Lord. Evelyn was stricken with cancer.

She is survived by two step brothers Alan and Louis Grundel, two daughters Denise Baldwin and Diane Beuse, a son Jeffery White, a son- in- law Jack Beuse, a nephew Kevin White and niece Colleen White, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. And many many friends in fact too many to list. But Phil, Bud, Jill and Jan Lamborn were there from the beginning.

Evelyn trained for her nursing degree in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to California to marry Gordon Peter White. Professionally she had a full career as a general, psychiatric, and geriatric nurse. She had many stories to tell at the dinner table and in her later years was fond to tell of her lunches with actor Lloyd Bridges of Seahunt fame when his wife was stricken with a stroke and Evelyn cared for Mrs. Bridges at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, California.

Evelyn was a devout Catholic and Father Brian Mohan will officiate at a viewing and rosary Friday Dec. 6th commencing at 5 pm and a memorial service at 10 am Saturday Dec. 7th, both at Saint Patrick's Catholic church in Colorado Springs.

Internment will be at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy, California, 10:00 am Saturday, December 14th.

A traditional Irish wake was performed on the eve of her passing and a bottle of Stranahan's Colorado whiskey was opened. The distiller (Paul W.) wrote on the label "Call your Mother". So we called Mom and wished her Heaven's blessings. Thanks Mom, you were always there for me.
