Mrs. Della-Santa passed away in Gilroy Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Wife of the late Angelo Della-Santa (1981). Aunt of Ron Cotta of LaGrange, CA, Emily Berkart of Gilroy, Betty Minche of Escalon, CA, Barbara Stephens of Merced, CA and Joe Rocha of Oakdale, CA. Preceded in death by her brothers Joe Cotta Jr., Frank Cotta and her sister Emma Rocha. A native of Gilroy.

Former President of the Degree of Pocahontas, founded in 1903 in Gilroy. Served as a Deputy Pocahontas for a San Jose Lodge. Member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, the Brotherhood of the St. Anthony and the Portuguese I.F.D.E.S. Lodge, founded by her father, Joseph Cotta. Former side maid for the annual Holy Ghost Festival of the I.F.D.E.S. Lodge.

Friends my visit starting on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home with Vigil at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010 - 12:00 Noon at St. Mary's Church, Gilroy. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Gilroy.

Aunt Evelyn was very proud of her family and heritage. She was not much on changes and loved to reminisce about old Gilroy.
