Esther,95, of San Jose, passed away on May 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isidro Rodriguez and her son, Gilbert Rodriguez. She is survived by her children; Jim Brooks (Ramona), John Brooks, Charles Brooks, Fred Brooks (Elena), Lupe Castaneda (Francisco), Connie Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez (Monica). She is also survived by many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.

She was born in Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico and raised in Bisbee, Arizona. She met her husband, Isidro in Phoenix where they started their family. Job opportunities, in the early 1950's, brought the family to Gilroy, where she resided for most of her life.

Esther loved to travel and work in her garden. She enjoyed singing and playing her harmonica in church. She was a great mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, 2016 10:00 A.M. at Lirio Del Valle, 160 Fifth Street, Gilroy, followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
