Esmeria, 74, Gilroy, passed away on Sept. 14, 2016. Esmeria Rosa passed away in Gilroy on 9/14/16 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Sao Roque do Pico in the Azores Islands to Joao & Rosa Simas.

She is survived by brothers Gualberto & Conceicao Simas, Ted & Maria Simas, sister Gisela Machado & sister in law Diodete Simas, her daughter in law Elizabeth Rosa, her granddaughters Lisa Martin and Mary Marvel, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son Gino Rosa, brother Jaime Simas, & brother in law Joseph Manuel Machado.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. George Green, Bonita Springs Hospice, and the many nurses & family members who cared for her during her illness.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 starting at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church with Mass to follow at Noon. Entombment will be at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
