So many torn hearts.

Born in Gilroy, Eric attended El Roble Grammer School and graduated from Gilroy High School in 2001.

Eric had a creative mind and the ability to master nearly any kind of mechanical or calculated sort of project.  He delivered top quality craftsmanship in fabrications as a Journeyman Architectural Sheetmetal worker which led him to a promotion as Shop Foreman when living in the bay area.  Most recently, after moving to Pollock Pines, CA  he followed his dream to be a truck driver and had been transporting building materials in the Sierra foothills.  The occasional crossing of paths with his brother Matthew, also a truck driver, was a highlight.

Eric loved being in the outdoors with his family.  Boating, camping, fishing, hunting and dirt bike riding or sitting around an outdoor table playing 10,000 were regular activities. His outgoing personality turned a gathering into a party humoring the adults with his quick wit and robust laugh.  A loved man that will be greatly missed.

Preceding Eric in death was the loss of his father, Eric Sr, and sister, Ginger Marie.  Only four weeks prior to Eric's passing, another sister, Jennifer Patterson Leal passed, adding unspeakable pain to those already grieving.

Eric's two oldest children, Maddie and Ryder are broken-hearted over the loss of their father.  Jessie, Eric's significant is grieving her loss and will keep Eric's memory alive for their child, little Holly.   Mother Janet, stepfather Dan, brother Matthew, three sisters, Christi, Colleen, and Janeen, God-father Uncle Dee and so many uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, in-laws and the list of long-time friends consoling each other with texts of picture and calls of memories.
