On Saturday, November 28, 2020. Elvira "Vera" Becerra gained her wing's.

Vera was born and raised in Gilroy, California. She passed away in North Carolina surrounded by her children & family.

Vera is survived by her mother Alice E. Medina, sisters Helen Rivera, Jennie (Edward) Garcia, Patsy Rivera, Debbie Rivera, Anne Rivera, Samantha Rivera and brothers Julian Lara, Raymundo Rivera and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Vera is survived by her children Taneka Becerra (Ulises), Joseph Becerra (Sabrina), Jack (Jessica) Becerra, James Becerra (Adrianna), Jesse Becerra, Daniel Becerra and stepchildren Jackie Rivas, Paula Rivas, Gregory Gonzales, Frank (Griselda) Becerra, 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Vera had a strong faith in god she enjoyed prayer, reading her bible, family gatherings and enjoyed texting her family with prayer quotes three times a day, every day. Vera loved watching movies and tv shows, so much so, that she is probably the only person to have watched every single movie and television show on Netflix, but her most favorite shows to watch where Criminal Minds and Law and Order.

She was loving and had a big heart, she enjoyed time with her grandkids and enjoyed cleaning, and had a very special bond with her prima Isabel M. Yepiz.

Vera is now reunited with her husband Jack S. Becerra, Sr., father Alfonso Rivera, Jr., abuela Maria Isabel Segovia, brother John Perez Medina and tio/tia's Rufino & Maragrita Suarez, Jose & Maria Medina, Jose & Josefina Villa, tia Maria (Pura) Bustamante and many nephews.

Vera, you will be greatly missed by all of us. This is not goodbye but see you when our name is called. Until we meet again, at heaven's gates. Rest in peace beautiful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
