January 16, 1927 – February 15, 2018
Elsie was born in Selma, Ca. She passed away in her home in San Martin Ca. with her family by her side.
She leaves behind her husband Raymond, married 73 years, daughter Barbara, who has been living with them after going through a heart procedure to correct a heart valve function, son Robert, living in Southern, CA, three step grandchildren Dylan, Jeff and John and seven step grandchildren.
They youngest son William predeceased in 2013 and eldest daughter Wanda in 2014.
At an early age Elsie, brother Tommy and her divorced mother Helen moved to Hanford, CA, to start anew. Her mother remarried Virgil Davidson who owned a Bicycle and model hobby business. Elsie and Tommy maintained their father's last name, Neagle.
Elsie completed her grade school and graduated from Hanford High School, where she earned a scholarship to University of California Berkeley.
On July 24, 1944 Elsie married her high school sweetheart Raymond. She met Raymond while he was in the Naval Flight Program . Their oldest daughter Wanda was born in the Navy Hospital in Pensacola Fl. on Oct. 28, 1947.
At the end of WWII Raymond was released to inactive duty in Dec. of 1945. Raymond, Elsie, Wanda and Robert returned to Hanford, CA, where they built their first home. After, they moved to Taft and San Jose.
After moving to San Jose, Elsie was hired by San Jose Water Co. Elsie was very happy to be with the company and the people she worked with over a period of 30 yrs. She retired a manager of Data Processing. Elsie was an avid reader enjoying Readers Digest and other books. Elsie helped Ray when he managed farm league with little league teams. She was so happy to tell Ray that a man came to her and said she used to hit ground balls to the infield while Ray was hitting fly balls in the outfield. Elsie always put family first. on the door of our refrigerator she has a posted quotation "Life is uncertain Eat dessert first." Her travels include Alaska, Holland, Belgium ,France, and Great Britain. The Family wants to thank Hospice and all the great care givers.
