Elizeida Perez De Sandoval

Surrounded by love and in the peace of the Lord, Elizeida Perez De Sandoval peacefully entered eternal rest on March 8, 2026, at the age of 75, in her home in Gilroy, California, with her daughter by her side. Shortly after receiving a priest’s blessing and the holy oils, she passed peacefully. Her daughter, Maria, and son-in-law, Fernando Castaneda, were present in prayer—a moment that felt as if God Himself had opened the golden gates of heaven to welcome her home.

Elizeida was born on September 26, 1950, in Rancho El Izote, La Yesca, Nayarit, Mexico, to Jose Guadalupe Perez and Maria Guadalupe Diaz, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Beatriz P. Sandoval.

She is survived by her husband, Porfirio Sandoval; her daughter, Maria Sandoval; her son-in-law, Fernando Castaneda; and her cherished grandson, Carlos Emmanuel Sandoval, who brought her immense pride and joy. Elizeida’s love, dedication, and care for her family were the center of her life. She is also survived by her five siblings: Isidro, Clemente, Celedonio, Inez, and Olivia.

Elizeida was a loving mother and a deeply devoted grandmother. Her grandson, Carlos Emmanuel, was one of the greatest blessings in her life and brought her immense joy. She treasured every moment with him and loved watching him grow. She was known for her quiet and noble spirit—a gentle woman of deep faith who loved and respected God, cared for others with kindness, and lived her life with wisdom, humility, and purpose.

Elizeida demonstrated remarkable courage throughout her life. She successfully battled breast cancer in 2019, and during the last two years, she faced another courageous battle with lymphoma, never giving up. She endured it with her characteristic quiet strength, faith in the Lord, and grace, reflecting the depth of her noble spirit.

Coming from very humble beginnings, Elizeida worked very hard throughout her life alongside her husband. She loved cooking and caring for her family, preparing fresh cheese and homemade dishes with love. She made the best refried bean tacos in handmade corn tortillas and wonderful enchiladas — favorites among everyone who visited her. She tended to her roses with care and welcomed family and friends into her home with warmth and generosity. Anyone who visited her home knew they would be greeted with food, kindness, and hospitality — no one ever left empty-handed. Elizeida was an extraordinary woman whose kindness, humility, and loving spirit touched everyone she met. She had a way of making people feel valued, loved, and at home, and her warmth will be remembered by all who knew her.

Her life reflected Proverbs 31:30 — “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” To fear the Lord is to love Him, trust Him, and live with humility and compassion. Elizeida embodied these virtues, leaving a legacy of faith, love, and a beauty that will never fade.

A Viewing will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy, beginning at 5:00 PM, followed by a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy.

A Graveside Service will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy.

Family and friends are invited to a reception following the graveside service.

Ella atesoraba cada momento con él y disfrutaba verlo crecer. Era conocida por su espíritu tranquilo y noble—una mujer de profunda fe que amaba y respetaba a Dios, cuidaba de los demás con bondad y vivía su vida con sabiduría, humildad y propósito.

Elizeida demostró una valentía extraordinaria a lo largo de su vida. Superó con éxito un cáncer de mama en 2019 y, durante los últimos dos años, enfrentó otra lucha contra el linfoma sin rendirse nunca. La afrontó con su característico espíritu tranquilo, su fe en el Señor y su gracia, reflejando la profundidad de su noble espíritu.

Viniendo de orígenes muy humildes, Elizeida trabajó muy duro a lo largo de su vida junto a su esposo. Le encantaba cocinar y cuidar de su familia, preparando queso fresco y platillos caseros con mucho amor. Hacía los mejores tacos de frijoles refritos en tortillas de maíz hechas a mano y deliciosas enchiladas — favoritos de todos los que la visitaban. Cuidaba sus rosas con dedicación y siempre recibía a familiares y amigos en su hogar con calidez y generosidad. Quienes visitaban su casa sabían que serían recibidos con comida, bondad y hospitalidad — nadie se iba con las manos vacías. Elizeida fue una mujer extraordinaria cuya bondad, humildad y espíritu amoroso tocaron a todos los que la conocieron. Tenía una manera especial de hacer que las personas se sintieran valoradas, amadas y como en casa, y su calidez será recordada por siempre por todos quienes la conocieron.

Su vida reflejó Proverbios 31:30 — “Engañosa es la gracia y vana la hermosura; la mujer que teme al Señor, ésa será alabada.” Temer al Señor es amarlo, confiar en Él y vivir con humildad y compasión. Elizeida encarnó estas virtudes, dejando un legado de fe, amor y una belleza que nunca se desvanecerá, fe, generosidad y resiliencia que continuará inspirando a todos los que la conocieron.

El velorio se realizará el lunes 23 de marzo de 2026 en Habing Family Funeral Home en Gilroy, a partir de las 5:00 PM, seguido del Santo Rosario a las 7:00 PM.

La Santa Misa de Funeral se celebrará el martes 24 de marzo de 2026 a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica St. Mary en Gilroy.

El sepelio se llevará a cabo a continuación en Gavilan Hills Memorial Park en Gilroy.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a una recepción después del servicio de sepultura.
