Elisa Ruiz, 83 of Gilroy Passed away Friday, August 09, 2013 after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.

Wife of the late Jess Ruiz (1984). Mother of Jess Ruiz of Gilroy, Robert Ruiz (Julie) of San Jose and Michael Ruiz (Janean) of Morgan Hill. Loving Grandmother of Jaclyn Puga (Christopher), Jennifer Ruiz and Lauren Ruiz all of San Francisco; David Ruiz of Albuquerque, NM; Amanda Ruiz of San Jose; Nathan Ruiz of San Luis Obispo and Meghan Ruiz of Sunnyvale. Great-grandmother of Carter Robert Puga of San Francisco. Sister of Ernie Romero of Casa Grande, AZ and Nicholas Romero of Washington.

Member of St. Mary's Church, Catholic Ladies Aide Society and the Gilroy Community Seniors. A native of Del Rio, TX. Moved to Gilroy in 1943.

Vigil Tuesday, August 13, 2013 – 7:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

Funeral Mass Wednesday, August 14, 2013 – 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Church, Gilroy.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Gilroy. Donations to the Gilroy Community Seniors Brown Bag Program appreciated.
